Our museum has a select art collection that is constantly growing and includes works of fine and applied art from the late Middle Ages to the present day. These include, for example, the Liberna Collection, which comprises, among other things, books, drawings, and prints from the 15th to 17th century, or the Stichting Ariadne's Naaikussen—historical needlework and sewing utensils from the 18th and 19th century—but also contemporary works that arise from collaborations with artists from our diverse exhibitions.

Company Collection
Furthermore, and after all the founding of our company goes back to a committed initiative of the Brenninkmeijer family, we are collecting objects and documents from the family and their business activities. These provide detailed insights into the history of the C&A company from its founding in Sneek, Netherlands, in 1841 to the recent past.

Experience the collections online
Since 2024, our homepage has invited you to take a closer look at our collections online and to get a detailed insight into what is in our archive and our collection and cannot be permanently presented in a permanent exhibition.
So, in the last few months, we have created the new COLLECTIONS section on our homepage, which makes exactly this possible. It invites you to discover a special selection of our numerous and sometimes extraordinary objects online: they can be found under the art categories of book art, graphic art, painting, photo and video art, sculpture and installation, as well as applied art, and under the company categories of architecture and business inventory, documentary photography, documents, as well as advertisement and fashion. Our site, like our collections, will continue to grow in the future and new objects will be added.
