THE FINAL BID
Figures and Evaluation
“The museum is an enrichment for the region.“
Our museum presents high-quality exhibitions in a rural setting with national and international loans and partnerships. Over the years, the focus has always been on involving the local population. By directly addressing different interest groups, THE FINAL BID can be considered a complete success in this endeavor. Many guests who are not part of the regular art-loving public found their way to the museum and the exhibition. With THE FINAL BID, the museum provided a direct service to the local community and displayed chairs from owners in the region. This gave the community a sense of ownership and pride in the exhibition. It was a feeling that also created the special atmosphere at the opening, which was the best attended opening since the coronavirus pandemic began in 2020.
In detail:
- People got involved who had previously had no connection to the venue or perhaps even to art.
- Visitor numbers rose to pre-pandemic levels; and compared to the exhibition in the summer of 2022, the numbers tripled.
- Around 500 schoolchildren visited the exhibition.
- There were a total of 75 guided tours of the exhibition.
- Various courses and workshops with hands-on tips and activities on the topic of sustainability took place (workshops, game exchange, screen printing).
- The Pollution Pods were free for visitors to see and experience during the first month of the exhibition; almost 900 visitors were counted in less than four weeks.
- The number of hits on our homepage on the last weekend of the exhibition and thus the end of the auction rose by 12.3 percent on Saturday and by 119.2 percent on Sunday, more than doubling!
- 200 new newsletter subscribers and 14 percent more website hits.
