December 5, 2024
Artist talk with the artist Markus Vater and the cultural scientist Friederike Fast
On the occasion of the publication of his new artist's book Objects of Significance, we organized an evening artist talk with Markus Vater, one of the artists participating in the LANGUAGE/TEXT/IMAGE exhibition, on December 5, 2024. The conversation with Markus Vater was conducted by Friederike Fast, deputy director of the Kunstmuseum Bonn.
Starting with the series of works Objects of Significance, a selection of 27 of which were on display in the exhibition, Markus Vater provided insights into his diverse artistic work and talked to Friederike Fast about what inspires him and what thoughts and considerations accompany and shape his working process.
Afterwards, visitors took a tour of the exhibition and then took the opportunity to talk to the artist and curators Birte Hinrichsen and Dr. Barbara Segelken over a drink.
The book Objects Of Significance was designed by Markus Vater in collaboration with the Draiflessen Collection.
